Where Y’at Magazine is an entertainment magazine with its finger on the pulse of all things pertaining to New Orleans culture. After almost 20 years of being in the business and facing new challenges against the print industry, they were ready to bring someone in who would be able to breathe new life into their pages and put on the polish they’ve been lacking for so long. My heart has always had a soft spot for print and tactile media, so when they approached me, I knew I had my work cut out for me, but I couldn’t bring myself to say no.

It was a job consisting of long hours, stressful deadlines, and a never ending face-off with the many egos of the entertainment industry. At the same time it was rarely boring, insightful, and gave me the position to foster the talents of the writers and interns who worked under me that was much more fulfilling than I had ever anticipated.
